The Use of Antibiotics
Antibiotics can help our immune system fight diseases caused by bad bacteria. However, antibiotics are also known to kill good bacteria in our bodies. Yet, it has been extensively used by the agriculture industry since the 1960s to promote growth in farm animals like pigs, cows, and chickens. Yes, antibiotics can save lives in emergencies, but the minute they are oversupplied in a person’s body, it can also damage the body system and impair what experts call “good bacteria.” Keeping such points in mind should give us an idea on how to lead a happier and healthier life.
